Air India requirements for ticketing

Air India (AI) has requested us to advise all travel agents that ticketing must be carried out prior to the airline’s Ticketing Time Limit (TTL) stipulations.  In the event that a cancellation (HX) has not been received from the airline after the TTL has been reached, agents must still contact their local AROs to request for an extension of the TTL if ticketing has not been completed in time.

Even though a PNR may be holding Confirmed Status, no tickets should be issued after a TTL has been reached unless the agent contacts its ARO first to inform them of their intention to ticket.
